The Lab Rat Generation

Why does the possibility of transmitting images directly onto the human brain seem inconceivable? It is already under production on rats. To a certain extent it has been going on for some time on humans too – it is called TV. Adverts are played over and over again, when you are hungry, the 4pm point when we are inundated with adverts for chocolate and biscuits, when we are hot, cooling beverages, cold, hot ones, insomniac, Nightol, exhausted, Day Nurse, vitamins, Red Bull. Free choice does not exist if we are selecting from a limited range of interchangeable products, more likely than not made by the same company. The lab rat generation, shuffled and partitioned through life. To the greatest extent, this experiment has already been achieved, it is all about refining – but surely that is merely a case of reducing the available options further!
